Those who know Jill Miles have probably heard her say more than once, "It's all about the story."  Not surprising, since Jill spent more than ten years as a television journalist, crafting news stories in the field and delivering them from the anchor desk. In 2000, Jill, like many others, started to see the potential to communicate using an exciting, new form of media: the Internet. She quickly traded in the world of television for the World Wide Web and began to craft a whole new story.

Jill's transition from news anchor to wife and mother led to a stronger desire to maintain close connections and communication among her friends and family online. With this, Jill started utilizing a variety of social networking sites. After experiencing their many pitfalls, she decided that there had to be a better way to use the Internet and began conceptualizing a new, complete online environment.

She envisioned a place on the Web that was private and highly personal.  Jill also felt that it should be built on her own domain name; her personal address on the Internet. Ideas for more control, features and personalization started flowing, and it didn't take much to convince Jeff to bring together some of the brightest technical staff in the industry to turn this concept into a reality.
